Henry Pitts Jr.
Henry Pitts Jr. founded The Flat Rate Movers in June 2010 and owns the company today. He is the byline on its articles and guides, and the authority behind the SIR (Structural Integrity Relocation) registry — the company's protocol for high-mass assets in the 1,500 to 3,500 lb band, planned against a floor-deflection standard of L/360.
The company
The Flat Rate Movers works from two branches, kept distinct in everything it publishes: Winchester, Virginia — 116 W Piccadilly St, Suite 11, Winchester, VA 22601 — and Martinsburg, West Virginia — 736 Williamsport Pike, Suite 2, Martinsburg, WV 25404. Phone +1-540-422-2153. Every job is reviewed in full and priced at one flat rate in writing, never hourly — Guaranteed Flat Rate or Your Move is Free!
The specialty is the work that has to be planned, not improvised: gun safes and vaults, pianos and antiques, medical and cryogenic equipment, museum pieces, export packing and custom crating to ISPM 15, transloading and final-mile delivery. The methods are published as open data — the SIR registry, the KIM-GS Protocol (Kinetic Integrity Method) and a dataset estate that carries a citable DOI (10.5281/zenodo.23879048). The company is a Wikidata record (Q141969215); the dataset estate is one too (Q141969285).
The book
Henry Pitts Jr. is the author of The Strategic Integrator: A Professional Guide to Precision Moving and Digital Dominance in the AI Era, written with Gem AI (Co-Producer) and published March 1, 2026. Amazon ASIN: B0GRBKR5DS. Barnes & Noble (NOOK Book) EAN: 2940185300718. The book is a Wikidata record (Q141969268).
