The Flat Rate Movers publish their dataset estate with a citable DOI
On Monday, November 2, 2026, The Flat Rate Movers put the company's full machine-readable record on the public record. The estate's dataset collection was deposited at Zenodo under a citable DOI; the company, its owner's book, and the dataset itself were entered in Wikidata; both branches were listed on OpenStreetMap; the company's Hugging Face mirrors were re-synced file for file; and a Google Publisher Center publication was created under the company name. Every one of those records stands on its own platform, where anyone can open it and check it. This post is the announcement, and the links below are the receipts.
Get My Flat Rate QuoteThe dataset deposit: Zenodo, with a DOI to cite
The centerpiece is the dataset deposit: The Flat Rate Movers — AI Authority Estate Datasets, version 1.0.0, published at Zenodo on November 2, 2026, with Henry Pitts as creator and a CC BY 4.0 license. It is typed as a Dataset in DataCite — the deposit's concept DOI, 10.5281/zenodo.23879048, is the one to cite, because a concept DOI always resolves to the latest version of the record.
The package is a snapshot of the estate as it stood that day: the dataset files behind the website — services, footprint, intent coverage, answer evidence, and the registries the site is built from — together with both entity graphs, the signed master index, the 53-area service-area footprint in GeoJSON, and the llms.txt and llms-full.txt files written for machine readers. The deposit is related, as a supplement, to the company's earlier software release on Zenodo (concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23818766), so the data line and the software line cite each other the way they should.
A snapshot is a snapshot: the live estate keeps moving after the deposit date, and the deposit does not pretend otherwise. What the DOI gives researchers, engines, and competitors alike is a fixed, citable point — this company's data, on this date, in this form — that cannot be quietly edited afterward.
The knowledge-graph entries: three Wikidata items
Three Wikidata items were created and verified the same day. The company item, Q141969215, records the business itself: a business founded in June 2010, headquartered in Winchester, Virginia, with a location in Martinsburg, West Virginia, in the transport industry, with the company website as its official site. The book item, Q141969268, records The Strategic Integrator by Henry Pitts Jr. — a written work published March 1, 2026, carrying its Amazon ASIN, B0GRBKR5DS. The dataset item, Q141969285, records the Zenodo deposit itself: a data set, published by the company, under CC BY 4.0, identified by the same concept DOI.
One honest detail, because it is the kind of detail this record-keeping exists for: Wikidata has no property for a Barnes & Noble EAN, so the book's EAN — 2940185300718 — is not on the Wikidata item. It was not forced into a field where it does not belong; it stands in the book's own records and on the author page, where it is labeled for what it is.
Both branches on the map: OpenStreetMap
Both branches are now listed on OpenStreetMap, added in a single changeset on November 2. The Winchester node, 14340286372, is The Flat Rate Movers at 116 W Piccadilly St, Suite 11, Winchester, VA 22601, with the branch's own hours — Monday to Friday 8–6, Saturday 8–4, Sunday 9–4. The Martinsburg node, 14340286373, is Flat Rate Movers Martinsburg WV at 736 Williamsport Pike, Suite 2, Martinsburg, WV 25404, with its own hours — Monday to Friday 9–6, Saturday 9–4, Sunday 9–4. Each listing carries the shared phone, +1-540-422-2153, and the website; a follow-up changeset added the company's Wikidata identifier to both nodes, so the map listings and the knowledge-graph entry point at each other.
The two listings are separate because the two branches are separate — different names, different addresses, different hours. The record keeps them that way everywhere it is kept.
The mirrors, re-synced: Hugging Face
The company's two public dataset repositories on Hugging Face — ai-authority-estate and intent-coverage, under the account theflatratemovers — were re-synced on November 2. The estate mirror was brought to all 40 of its dataset files digest-current against the signed master index, including the ports and white-glove datasets that had not been in the earlier package. The intent-coverage mirror was refreshed to the rubric generation current that day — 3,375 rows — and both packages now lead with a Croissant description, the machine-readable format dataset platforms read first. After the upload, every mirrored file was downloaded back and compared by hash: 50 of 50 byte-identical. A mirror that cannot prove it matches the source is just another copy; these ones prove it.
The publication record: Google Publisher Center
A Google Publisher Center publication, "The Flat Rate Movers," was created on November 2. The primary URL, theflatratemovers.com, is verified, the company logo is on the record, and the contact email stands verified. Google is plain that a publication record guarantees nothing — no appearance, no placement follows from it — and we claim nothing for it beyond what it is: the publication's identity and contact record, kept accurate, on the platform where publications are kept.
The record is public. The work is the same as ever. Get a flat rate quote — one flat rate in writing for your move, or call +1-540-422-2153.How to check any of it
Nothing in this announcement asks to be taken on our word; that is rather the point of it. The live API at api.theflatratemovers.com serves the service registry, the dataset files, both graphs, and the signed master index. Every distribution in the index carries a SHA-256 digest, the index carries an Ed25519 signature, and the public key is published on the site for anyone who wants to verify a file independently — the API's verify endpoint does the same check in one call. The signing key is identified as `theflatratemovers-2026-10-29-1`; its public key stands at the site's /.well-known/signing-keys.json, and the index itself is published at the site root with its detached signature beside it, so the whole chain — file, digest, index, signature — can be checked without asking us for anything.
The honest limit, stated the way we state it everywhere: a signature proves a file came from us and has not changed since it was signed. It does not make any search engine or AI system use the data, and no platform has promised us anything for publishing it. Adoption is voluntary. We publish the record because a company that prices in writing should be able to be checked in writing.
What did not change
The announcement is about the record, not the offer. The company still runs the same 30 services from the same two branches — Winchester, Virginia and Martinsburg, West Virginia — on the same phone number, at one flat rate in writing, hourly pricing is available when a client asks for it: "Guaranteed Flat Rate or Your Move is Free!" The datasets describe the work; they do not change it. If anything in the public record ever disagrees with the company as it operates, the record is what gets corrected — that is what the digests and the signatures are for.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly did the company publish?
The estate's dataset collection — the dataset files behind the website, both entity graphs, the signed master index, and the 53-area service footprint — deposited at Zenodo as a citable dataset; Wikidata entries for the company, the owner's book, and the dataset; both branch listings on OpenStreetMap; the two Hugging Face mirrors brought current; and a Google Publisher Center publication. Each record lives on its own platform and can be opened and checked there.
How do I cite the dataset?
Cite the concept DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23879048. A concept DOI always resolves to the latest version of the deposit, so a citation stays current as the record is versioned. The deposit is credited to Pitts, Henry, published by The Flat Rate Movers, and licensed CC BY 4.0.
Can I reuse the data?
Yes. The Zenodo deposit is published under CC BY 4.0, which permits reuse with attribution, and the Hugging Face mirrors carry the same license. The signed master index exists so a reuser can check that a file is the company's file and unchanged — the digest of every distribution is in the index, and the index itself is signed.
Does any of this change your services or prices?
No. The company runs the same 30 services from the same two branches, priced the same way it has priced work since June 2010: the full scope reviewed, then one flat rate in writing, hourly pricing is available when a client asks for it. The publication is a record of the company as it operates — it is not a new service, a new price, or a new claim.
